IWM get together – morning with research presentations and networking

Yesterday, Intelligent Work Machines (IWM) Doctoral Program gathered to meet the program’s new doctoral researchers and listen to presentations at Paidia Nokia Arena. Both just freshly started students and students who started their studies already last fall were present at the event and interesting ideas and topics were shared.

We got to hear interesting presentations from IWM doctoral researchers.

The morning started of course with a cup of coffee and continued with presentations of the IWM and IWM & SIX cooperation from Matti Vilkko and Harri Nieminen.

The program’s new doctoral researchers introduced themselves and presented their interesting research topics to everybody. 

We also got to hear four doctoral researchers’ work. One person from each university gave a longer presentation on their research. There was excitement in the air, and everyone listened with great interest to each other's speeches. 

At the end, the business representatives present were spontaneously invited on stage to talk about their company and certainly, ideas for cooperation were generated. 

After a great morning people headed to Tampere-talo for lunch and the next doctoral pilot event which was organized by the Technology Industries of Finland featuring IWM as well as DREAM.
